Even if I point it to the folder that contains the Realtek drivers, XP says it cannot install the drivers for this hardware. run the found new hardware wizard / update driver from device manager. If I do this, I still get no sound, and when I reboot, XP reinstalls it saying it has detected new hardware. I tried the following for the device that doesn't work: The other still doesn't work (question mark in device manager), and I have no sound. Click Next and then select 'Modem' from the list. If you right click the devices in device manager and select properties it will tell you the problem with the device and give and error code,its most probably will say you need to load driver files,this usually happens if you've recently formatted and reinstalled windows,have you?Have you recently had some problems? ![]()
